Delta Agriculture Society Supports KinVillage with $100K for Seniors’ New Day Program Space

The Delta Agriculture Society has made a significant impact on the lives of seniors and their caregivers in Delta by donating an extraordinary $100,000 to KinVillage’s “It Takes A Village” Capital Campaign. This generous contribution will help create a new space for the Day Program for Older Adults, ensuring seniors have a safe, engaging environment while caregivers receive the much-needed respite they deserve.

Jennifer Fisher, CEO of KinVillage, expressed her heartfelt gratitude: “When you give to seniors in need, you’re not just giving a gift; you’re strengthening our entire community. Your generosity shows that we care for one another and that we value the contributions of our elders. Together, we can ensure they live their later years with dignity and joy. On behalf of our seniors and KinVillage, thank you.”

Jack Bates, President of the Delta Agricultural Society, shared the organization’s pride in supporting such a vital initiative: “The Delta Agricultural Society is proud to support KinVillage’s initiative to build the new Day Program space for those who need it most in our community. Knowing that our contribution supports caregiver respite and enriches the lives of seniors is deeply important to our organization and the whole community.”

Kristen Thomas, Director of Development at KinVillage, highlighted the transformative impact of the donation: “This gift truly embodies the spirit of community and will directly impact the lives of seniors and their caregivers in Delta. With this support, we are one step closer to reaching our $3 million fundraising goal and building this much-needed space for the Day Program for Older Adults.”

The Day Program for Older Adults is an integral part of the community, offering seniors a sense of connection, meaningful activities, and a safe environment. It also provides critical relief for caregivers, allowing them to recharge while their loved ones receive quality care. By supporting seniors to “age in place” and remain in their homes, the program strengthens the fabric of South Delta, creating a healthier and more vibrant community.

As the holiday season approaches, there’s no better time to give back. Your donation can help transform the lives of seniors and their caregivers in our community. Together, we can ensure a brighter future for everyone.
