Welcoming Jen Fisher: KinVillage's New CEO

Happy July! We are thrilled to announce new beginnings as Jen Fisher joins KinVillage as its new CEO effective July 8, 2024. Jen is an experienced leader with a demonstrated history of working across the health care system, with expertise in supporting care homes in British Columbia and Alberta. She is an advocate for inclusive community participation and a proponent of continuous growth and change through education and life experiences. Jen is a strong supporter of seniors' care and the development of a culture to support a safe, healthy, and active community.

Jen is currently the General Manager at Evergreen Hamlets in Surrey. Evergreen Hamlets specializes in long-term care for adults with Huntington’s disease, acquired brain injury, multiple sclerosis, and cerebral palsy. Jen also served as an Assistant General Manager at Retirement Concepts, which offers a range of independent living, assisted living, and long-term care options. She also held a corporate position with Retirement Concepts, where she oversaw all aspects of therapies and contracts. Jen has led a team of 300 employees and volunteers and has played leadership roles in successful capital projects at both Evergreen Hamlets and Retirement Concepts.

Jen holds a BSc in Therapeutic Recreation from Dalhousie University and an Associate Degree in Sports and Recreation Management from Vancouver Island University. She is extremely well-suited to lead KinVillage at an exciting time of expansion and renewal. Jen values being part of the community and building partnerships with stakeholders at all levels to ensure continued growth and development.

We look forward to Jen continuing to provide leadership excellence in promoting quality care and wellness services for older adults living at KinVillage and in the South Delta community.

David Thompson will continue in the role of Interim CEO until Jen assumes the position in July. We are thankful to David for his leadership during this transition period.

Please join us in welcoming Jen to the KinVillage community.
