COVID-19 Update - March 26, 2021
Yesterday’s announcement from the Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry and Minister of Health Adrian Dix regarding relaxing of visitor restrictions starting April 1, 2021 in long-term care and assisted living homes is very welcome news.We are so looking forward to welcoming family and friends back into the care home and assisted living as restrictions on social visits have been in place since March 2020. It has been a long and difficult journey but it warms the heart knowing that people can soon hug and hold hands with their loved one.Over the next few days KinVillage will be planning and preparing for the easing of restrictions following the guidelines set out by the Ministry of Health - BC Center for Disease Control and Fraser Health Authority. We kindly request that those who are looking forward to seeing their loved one in care remain patient as we prepare to re-open following the visitor guidelines April 1st. Further information will be provided next week including how to schedule a visit.A reminder that the risks of COVID-19 while diminished thanks to vaccinations, the virus can still spread. Following the public safety measures of performing frequent hand hygiene, wearing a mask and not visiting if feeling at all unwell are critically important. This is an important milestone on the path towards a return to normal for residents, families and staff.Thank you for your continued understanding and patience as we prepare for these changes.
