Century Group’s $250,000 Donation Strengthens KinVillage’s New Day Program Space for Older Adults

KinVillage’s 'It Takes A Village' Capital Campaign has received a generous donation of $250,000 from Century Group, the largest contribution to date. This donation marks a significant milestone in KinVillage’s efforts to build a new space for the Day Program for Older Adults, which serves as a lifeline for seniors and their caregivers in the community.

“I got involved because of friends who benefitted from KinVillage’s Day Program,” said Sean Hodgins, President of Century Group. “The more I learned, the more I understood how important the program is to those in need of care and their caregivers.”

The new Day Program space will allow KinVillage to increase its capacity to serve up to 25 participants daily, offering essential care, social engagement, and activities designed to improve the quality of life for older adults. This program is not only vital for participants but also for caregivers, many of whom face the constant challenge of caregiver burnout. By providing a safe, supportive environment for seniors, the program gives caregivers the opportunity to rest, recharge, and take care of their own well-being.

“Thank you, Sean, your generosity will have a profound and lasting impact on the lives of many seniors in our community, ensuring they receive the care, support, and companionship they deserve. Your gift is not only an investment in their well-being but a testament to the power of community and the difference one person can make,” said Jennifer Fisher, CEO of KinVillage.

“On behalf of KinVillage’s 'It Takes A Village' campaign, I want to express our deepest gratitude to Century Group and President Sean Hodgins for the generous donation of $250,000—our largest donation to date. Thank you, Sean Hodgins, for your unwavering support, dedication to our cause, and commitment as a Campaign Cabinet member. We look forward to continuing our work together to improve the lives of older adults and their families in our community,” says Kristen Thomas, Director of Development.

KinVillage’s goal is to raise $3 million through the 'It Takes A Village' Capital Campaign, and thanks to the community’s support, we are halfway there. We need your help to raise the final $1.5 million. Every donation makes a difference in providing seniors with a safe, engaging environment and offering caregivers the respite they need to prevent burnout. We’re counting on the community’s support to help us get there.
