Book Sale
Early birds to the 11th annual book sale that started on Thursday, January 28th were able to choose from more than 11,800 titles. The sales’ success, grossing more than $11,000.00, is due not only to the generous donation of good quality books by the community, but also to the efforts of volunteers. For four weeks, Book Sale Coordinator Judith Dinwoodie and a team of a dozen volunteers sorted through all the books, CDs, DVDs, games and puzzles, and guided buyers through the collection during the sale. Molly Hewitt coordinated shifts of 24 volunteers that acted as packers and cashiers. Proceeds from the sale were put toward the purchase of a new bus for KinVillage residents. To the community and to the volunteers, KinVillage extends a huge THANK YOU.
