COVID-19 Update – October 6, 2021

  • Visitors to West Court Long-term Care and South Court Assisted Living

Starting October 12, 2021, for the safety of residents, all visitors coming to West Court or South Court will have to show their vaccine card as proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 at time of screening, as ordered by Dr Bonnie Henry, Provincial Health Officer (PHO).  Visitors who are not able to provide evidence of full vaccination will not be permitted to enter either building.Screening of Visitors will continue as follows:

  • Visitors will be screened for signs and symptoms of illness prior to every visit. Visitors with signs or symptoms of illness, as well as those in self-isolation, self-monitoring or quarantine in accordance with public health directives, are not permitted to visit
  • All visitors must provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination (two doses)
  • Visitors need to wear a mask in hallways and common areas but not when in direct contact with the person they are visiting.

 

  • Third Dose COVID-19 Vaccinations for Residents Living in West and South Courts

With the PHO Dr. Henry’s approval of third doses of COVID-19 vaccine for people living in long-term care and assisted living, KinVillage will be working with Fraser Health to arrange for the COVID-19 vaccination clinics over the coming weeks.  Families or residents with questions about the vaccine or third doses, please visit the BCCDC website.
